Ackermans is a South African chain of clothing retail stores. Founded in 1916 in Wynberg, Cape
Town, Ackermans has over 700 stores across Southern Africa, including in Namibia, Botswana,
Lesotho, eSwatini and Zambia, and is headquartered in Kuilsriver near Cape Town.
Isilumko Activate had a store opening activation on the 10-11 June 2022 at Jubilee Mall in
Hammanskraal (Gauteng).
Consumers were encouraged to purchase any Character Shop merchandise and received a
personalised colouring book. The mechanic was to buy any character merchandise from
Ackermans, customers had to show their till slip to the brand ambassadors and had their picture
taken in order to receive a free personalised colouring book.
The personalised photo were used as the cover page of the colouring book and the books were
being binded instore by the Isilumko Activate ambassadors. Approximately 285 customers were
approached and close to 200 colouring books were handed out over the 2 days to happy
customers.
